friday night, kourtney and i went out to these clubs that are really boats (bateaux) on the rhone river. we were brought there by our francais friends. i had such a good time that i brought katie back the next night after a delicious dinner at le nord. here’s a shot of our dinner. lots o ‘ fish :

this was the best salmon i’ve ever tasted. the owner of this place owns a couple other brasseries one for each cardinal direction. his name is paul bocuse. yum.

our chocolate fondaunt that we ordered was taking too long so they brought us some crazy awesome waffle shit for free. here is us mid-gorging. (lena, can katie and i do a guest post on your blog about this place? read a few posts down for some stuff about le fooding as well. we’ll do a lyon recap. it is the gastronomic capital of france, after all).

the guy that initially brought us to these places, laurent, is known in his close circle of friends as the ‘king of the boats.’ this one is the best, says he, and is called le sirius.

the dj was much better the night before, but kaite still managed to cut a rug to mediocre mid-nineties bar mitzvah music.

as did i. you can see how much fun i was having based on my pit stains.

here is a shot of the outside of the second club we went to. it’s much smaller and very crowded. on friday, kourtney, laurent and i couldn’t get in. but this time we made it!

this chick saw me taking pictures and was like ‘take my picture!’ then she said she should give me her autograph because she would be famous in 3 years. her name was colleen. not a french name but she liked it. she studies tourism and she learned about iguassu falls. yay. i’ve been there. she wore a necklace around her head.

on the way home, drunk katie posed on this crazy post of light. rock.

we totally didn’t go into this club. it’s called ‘yes’ and it’s right next to les subsistances. cra-hay-zay.

here’s a low shutterspeed shot of katie when she spilled her kir. r-rock.

the valiant duo is spent after a night of booze and sweet sixteen dancin’. until next week, bateaux.

Certainly not pix your Grandmas will want to see! Where are the scenic shots? The architecture - the countryside? Glad you are having fun - guess you’ll have to rest when you return to the states! The bateux don’t move, do they?
You’re torturing me.
Aw, french food! I’m so jealous.
bateau is also slang for boring. i was excited about boats too, until i realised there is a whole wide world of bizarre entertainment in france. petanque anyone? don’t forget to come to paris next time! bisous and see you soon mon petit chou roux.
