this is me sticking my head out of katie’s room’s window precariously dangling her laptop in my greasy hands - the same laptop i’m typing on right now in the “common area”/stairwell, while katie tries to stay awake.
we had a lovely, albeit exhausting, trip to lyon, and now we are in a weird flux of jetlag and simple nougatine ice cream (what the hell is that? delicious.) um.
this place is fucking awesome. will fill you in more in the future.

Ok, so I must tell you that Ponce has truly settled in here. He nuzzled Dad and tried to get as close to him as possible before Dad woke up. And, tonight, Ponce discovered his cat platform - he can rest his head and he curls up and fits perfectly on the top platform. He plays with his toys up there - throws them out, falls out, and jumps back up! I had so much fun watching him! He is so gentle and playful and he loves having all this space. He is so comfortable anywhere. When Dad and I go downstairs…he comes down after us. And, when we go back up he is right behind us! He is loving the Greek yogurt - licks our ice cream bowls (low fat only) and loves his Friskie treats, not the organic ones. He eats just a little of the canned food - I think he likes the liquid more than the food itself. There are so many new sounds and he perks up each time a new one is in the air. So often we find ourselves calling him Cassidy - but he really knows his name and responds whenever we call him. You surely picked a winner, Chris! Hope your jet lag is gone and you are settling into life in France. Stay in touch!

Happy you made it safely….I am so totally envious of you…although the only plce in the world I want to go is Italy….can you bring it back to me..tee hee…hugs and be safe…kisses…and think pink!
