first laura voted :

so did jess. this is her happy that she voted :

there are no pictures of me voting, but here are the obama logo cupcakes i made for hannah’s election party :

it’s a testament to his branding that you can recognize the logo even with my shoddy icing job :

here is video from the street in fort greene, brooklyn after obama’s speech. this was on dekalb ave :
Obama is President in Fort Greene 1/2 from Chris Giarmo on Vimeo.
here’s some more video, a bit further down dekalb :
Obama is President in Fort Greene 2/2 from Chris Giarmo on Vimeo.
hannah rejoices :

other’s rejoice in brooklyn :

when i got home i checked my email. i had gotten one from obama himself at around 11:30 before he made his speech in grant park. he said he wanted to thank me first before he went on stage. the fact that this man appreciates the role the internet played in his campaign and the way that this political situation has exploded the internet in terms of usability and focus is phenomenal.
and if you think he’s through, check out this. this is the first presidential website that i’ve ever heard of. it’s a new technological dawn, and i’m gonna coin it. this is web 3.0, and it’s actually gonna make a difference. i’m glad i’ve got a front row seat.
