I'd rather us both be in the room - our side and their side - than either only us or them. Making them want to disappear is as fruitless as their quest to make us disappear. Am I happy that people hate me for being gay? No. But the more we stand toe-to-toe with them the more their power wanes and people see the truth that yes, in fact, we're not only equal to the like of Rick Warren but a whole lot better.
