the website for tim burton’s exhibition at MoMA is awesome flashiness. check it out.
my favorite bit is the drawn EKG loader that appears before galleries and site transitions. awes.
i haven’t seen the show yet, but i can’t wait!

i haven’t seen the show yet, but i can’t wait!

just added a bunch of new links to my LINKS page - including a section of design resources. enjoy.

i’m sitting in a semi-comfy chair at jfk after paying way too much for wifi via boingo, and paying way too little for a fossil watch (duty free = yes!) - which will be delivered to me at the gate when i board the plane. class.
i’ve got about two more hours before i board a 747 and fly to heathrow with a bunch of annoying british people and their screaming kids with nintendo DS’s. luckily i’ve secured a window seat by checking in online, have an ample supply of antihistamine sleeping pills and didn’t sleep last night. prognosis? a comatose flight to london-town for chris.
after a transfer in heathrow (which will probably involve taking a bus to another terminal) and a two-hour layover, i’m off to lyon where i’ll be stationed for two weeks performing with big dance theater. then it’s off to spain and anywhere my little heart desires for four more weeks. woo hoo.
be sure to check THIS site. my blog. for photos and updates. i’ve just decided to roll that way.
so deal.
i’m kinda abandoning facebook and twitter for this journey. i just want my documentation of this trek to be on my terms and not get lost in the standard sea of tweets and status updates.
xo - “world-traveler” (according to british airways) chris.
… and so does my website.
in case you didn’t notice, my the background color of my (NEW AND IMPROVED) website changes color depending on when you look at it. it’s a kind of fun/fast and tricky way to make it look like i update it a lot, when i don’t. HA! fooled you.
in case you care, here is a fun chart that tells you what color my website will be when (and can also be used to tell you what time it is - within an hour or two) :

aren’t background colors fun?
for another awesome background color web experience, check out dance theater workshop’s website. click around a bit and watch the background color slowly gradiate.
oh, and for you webbies out there, check out this forum post in which Mattias Sjöberg posts the javascript needed to make my bg-color effect happen.*
*note : make sure to change the && to || when your hours cross over the 24hr mark. i’m not actually sure what this does, but it’s very important. i modified the code i snatched from the above webpage and neglected to notice that detail. at 11pm my enter website just turned white while i was working on it. eek!

this game rocks.
friends, it’s official.
i am FREELANCE!
that means you can give me work. just check out my WORK PAGE, newly updated, and if you like what you see, give me a call or pass my info on to anyone else for any graphic, print, web or artistic projects.
rock.
